Seuss!
When I
was a little girl, waiting to be tucked in,
Into my bedroom, dad would walk with a grin.
Sitting beside me, with the gentleness of a lamb,
From his right hand appeared Green Eggs & Ham.
Seuss was the author, a doctor of rhyme and style.
Hearing his stories always made me smile.
Then came the Grinch, the Lorax, and The Cat;
I had them memorized in mere seconds flat.
As I grew older, my love for Seuss did, too.
Now as a teacher, I share that love with you!
